Your health, in your pocket.
Niro is a patient-held health record. Keep your medications, conditions, doctor visits and test results in one place — in Sinhala, Tamil or English — and share them with your doctor or another healthcare professional only when you choose.
Built by Sri Lankan doctors, for fellow Sri Lankans.

Privacy by design — built for Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act
Nobody sees your record until you show it.Your QR code opens it, and only the part their job needs — a pharmacy sees the prescription, a lab sees its own test.
In a real emergency a clinician can open it for two hours, and Niro tells you at once
Access ends by itself.A consultation's access lapses a few days later, a home care visit's two days after the visit. You can withdraw any of it at any moment.
You can read the access log.Who was let in, and when. It records authorisations rather than every screen they open — we would rather tell you what we actually know.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
Fingerprint unlock stays on your device — we never see it
We never sell personal data.Your health data is never used for advertising.
Your data lives on Google Cloud in Mumbai.Cross-border flows are made under section 26 of the PDPA (asia-south1).
You can take your account away.Delete it, and the record goes with it.
Everything about your health, together
One place for Sri Lankan healthcare — patients, doctors and dentists, hospitals, channelling centres, GP and dental clinics, pharmacies, labs, radiology and home care.

Medications & conditions
Record what you take and what you have — in plain language, in your language.

Test results & trends
Keep every lab and scan report, and watch trends over time with normal ranges made clear.

Share with a QR code
Show your code and your doctor or another healthcare professional sees your record instantly. Every time it is opened you can see who, and when.

Book a doctor
Find channelling sessions near you by speciality, hospital or town — and get your queue number before you leave home.

Photograph your papersPremium
Snap a lab report, prescription or clinic note and Niro reads the details for you to check and keep.

Verified professionals
Doctors, dentists and clinics are checked against their registration, so you know who you are dealing with.

Telehealth
See a verified doctor over video, from wherever you are — available doctors appear live, with your record in front of them.

Care at home
Book a companion, a qualified caregiver or a registered nurse to come to the house — each checked, insured, and priced before you book.

Look after the whole familyPremium
Create and manage records for up to five people — parents, children, anyone you care for. Living abroad? Book their appointments and see what the doctor said, from wherever you are.

You decide who sees what
A pharmacy sees what you take. A lab sees the test it is doing. A caregiver sees your allergies. Nobody sees more than their job needs, and everything you allow can be taken back.
How it works
Create your record
Sign up with your mobile number — or with an email if you live abroad. Unlock it each day with your fingerprint or your face. Premium adds the family you look after, up to five people.
Put in what you already have
Write down the conditions you live with, the medicines you take and what past visits were about. Premium adds photographing the papers — Niro reads them for you to check.
Visit your doctor or healthcare professional
Show your QR code. Your doctor or healthcare professional sees your history and adds the consultation, prescriptions and test requests.
Or see a doctor by video
When you cannot travel, consult a verified doctor over video from wherever you are — your record in front of them, and the prescription in your app afterwards.
Pharmacy, lab & results
Collect medicines and do your tests with the slips in your app, then keep the results in your record for life.
Care at home, when it is needed
Choose what help is needed and see who can come, how far away they are and what they charge. You pay when the visit is done.

Mr Ruzny Ali Uthuman
Co-founder
A general manager who runs businesses of his own, he looks after how Niro is run day to day.
Niro began on a ward at the National Hospital a decade ago. Patients arrived carrying a bundle of loose chits and investigation reports in no particular order, and a bag of medicine boxes. Before anyone could be treated, all of it had to be pieced back together — what had already been done, and which of those boxes they were still taking. Niro is that bundle, kept in order, held by the patient.
For patients, Niro is free

Hospital
First month free · no commission on bookings · a dispensary or a dental chair never changes the price
More than one branch? Each branch keeps its own desk, staff and records — talk to us about a group rate.
And for the people who provide care:
Home caregivers
Free to join and be listed. Niro keeps 10% of a completed visit; the rest is paid out to you weekly.
Telehealth doctors
Free to be listed — Niro keeps 10% of each paid video consultation.
Home care
A companion, a qualified caregiver or a registered nurse at the house — you choose the help, you see the price before you book, and you follow the visit from arrival to check-out.
For home caregivers
Work you choose, on terms that protect you. Choose your services, your hours and how far you will travel — and decide which visits to take. Prices are set by Niro, the same for every companion.
Get verified once
Send your NVQ certificate or nursing council registration and a police certificate. A person checks it, and that decides which level of care you offer.
Choose your services
Pick the services you offer — every companion works at the same Niro-set hourly rates, so families compare care, not prices. Nobody can ask you for work above your level — that is our rule as much as yours, and we will back you when you say no.
Be insured, and be seen to be
Families see that you carry public liability cover. If your policy lapses your profile pauses until you renew it, which protects you as much as them.
Get paid through the app
The price is agreed before the visit and cannot be changed afterwards. Payment goes through Niro, so there is always a record that you were there and what you did.
For solo practices, channelling centres and hospitals
Run your own channelling — a GP with a dispensary, a dentist with a chair, or a full hospital. Keep the booking, keep the patient, pay no commission. First month free.

Your channelling desk
Doctors, sessions and sequential queue numbers your front desk and your patients see alike. Patients book from their phone instead of calling.
Sized to your practice
One GP or dentist is a solo practice from LKR 2,000 a month; a group practice, a channelling centre or a hospital pays by the doctors it lists. A dispensary or a dental chair never changes the price.
Your staff, your departments
OPD, dentistry, pharmacy, lab, radiology and allied health — each with its own staff, invited by code and limited to their own department.
Results that close the loop
When your lab enters a result, the doctor who ordered it is told and the patient keeps it for life. Nobody chases a report.
